On 7 July 2005, a coordinated series of suicide bombings took place on London's transport network, shocking the country.

Three bombs exploded at various points on the tube, while a fourth was detonated on a bus - 52 people were killed, while around 700 were injured.

Forensic evidence later confirmed that terrorists were four men, all British citizens, who had been caught on CCTV on the morning of the attacks.
