The bi-annual Maison and Objet trade show held on January 21-25 and September 9-13 in Paris brings together emerging and established household designers from around the world. Every year the event honors three designers that embody the major trends in home-design style.
This year the award winning designers are Edouard François, Gilles & Boissier and Rowan & Erwan Bouroullec, all of whom are French.
Architect Edouard François works on a variety of projects ranging from social housing schemes to luxury hotels. Scale models of his designs reside permanently in Paris art gallery George Pompidou Centre and in 2011 he was made a International Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects for his contribution to green architecture.

The duo are currently in the process of re-designing Moncler (clothing stores) around the world and their work is visible in Paris at the cafe Artcurial and the Mini Palais.
