The organizers of the annual Restaurant and Bar Design Awards, an independent prize bestowed by a panel of the UK's leading design editors, have announced their shortlists for the most stylish bars and restaurants around the world.
While most categories - such as those for the best independent restaurant, hotel bar, or lighting scheme - are open to UK submissions only (and have attracted entries by the likes of Zaha Hadid despite the prize only being in its second year), two of the awards are reserved for international establishments. They will be announced as part of the official ceremony in London on June 22.
