Norwegian designer Martin Solem's Daddy Long Legs bar stools were awarded Best New Product at this year's Blueprint Design Awards held on September 22 at household accessories trade show 100% Design.
The Blueprint Design Awards were established by leading architectural and design magazine Blueprint to honor established and upcoming designers who reflect the public mood and feel of the times in their work.
This year a panel composed of industry professionals honored Martin Solem for his range of minimalist wooden bar stools.
Solem, who was exhibiting as part of 100% Norway, was one of two Norwegian designers to be awarded at the Blueprint Design awards alongside Caroline Olsson, who was named Best Newcomer .
Held in Earl's Court, London, 100% Design, which wraps up Sunday, focuses on consumer-focused interior design and household accessories; the event is subdivided into sections labeled 100%Design, 100% Materials and 100% Futures.
Later in the year the latest interior design trends and household products will be showcased on the other side of the world at Interior Lifestyle Living Tokyo which runs November 2-4 and attracts around 80,000 visitors per year.
