Aston-Martin, Bentley announce Frankfurt debuts
Friday 26 August 2011
Legendary auto brands Aston-Martin and Bentley have both confirmed that they will release new models at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
Bentley confirmed this week that the new Bentley Continental GTC will debut at the show, offering a more powerful 6.0-liter W12 engine and several form tweaks ahead of the first deliveries in late 2011.
Coming full circle and building on the design of the GT Coupe which launched last year, the new Continental GTC has been slightly sharpened and widened, with adjustments to the drivetrain, suspension and power output.
Inside, passengers have more space, along with new storage solutions and a touchscreen infotainment system.
The model is priced at €170,060 (£149,350) and is available to pre-order now, Bentley confirmed.
Aston Martin also announced it will be at the show with a new model, taking the wraps off the V12 Zagato for the first time at a mainstream event.
The Zagato premiered for the first time at the Villa D'Este Concours in Italy in May, before racing on the Nürburgring track in Germany during multiple events, despite still being a concept car.
Aston Martin says that this race car concept will be the one displayed at Frankfurt, although it released the first images of a road car variant set to go into production in the middle of next year August 25.
The Frankfurt International Motor Show runs September 15-25 in Frankfurt, Germany.
