French carmaker Renault is to launch a European reality TV show and will be auditioning participants from April 7, the company has announced.
Drivers from eight European countries will be able to log on to the firm's website from 14:00 on April 7 (13:00 BST) to upload audition videos explaining why they should take part in the four-week adventure, which begins in June.
Renault says that teams from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands will take part in the show, titled Very Good Trip.
The show will pit each of the two-person teams, in either a Mégane Coupé Cabriolet or Renault Wind, against each other to solve puzzles and undertake challenges on film.
It will be filmed in various places in Europe and will be shown on the Renault portal, the Renault television channel, satellite television in Britain and France, as well as updates on Youtube, Dailymotion, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.
In January, Renault competitor Peugeot launched its own pan-European driving challenge, an efficiency race between Paris and Geneva. Eighteen European countries participated, with Belgium's Nicolas Cosse taking first place in a Peugeot 207.
