Four-wheel warning

Insurers are warning that owners of four-wheel-drives will soon have to fit quality alarms and immobilisers to avoid hefty increases in premiums. In August, the Norwich Union will publish a new 'hot list of cars which qualify for immobiliser discounts of up to 25 per cent - likely to include models such as Land Rover's Discovery and Vauxhall's Frontera.
