The AA yesterday announced Roadrunners, a scheme which it hopes will help to slash the accident rate for newly qualified drivers by teaching under-17s car control and road safety on a private track. Tuition will initially be offered at Hampshire's Thruxton race circuit, at a cost of pounds 5 for two lessons. The association hopes to extend the scheme nationwide.
