W Motors Fenyr Supersport: Lebanese hypercar to produce 900bhp – for now

Production – if that’s the word for 25 a year – should start in January next year

The Dubai motorshow saw the launch of a surprise Arabic product – a 900bhp hypercar from W Motors in Lebanon. The CEO, Ralph Debbas, says production will be just 25 cars a year, and so far no price has been announced. But that is clearly a minor consideration.

What is of more importance is the carbonfibre body draped on a tubular aluminium chassis, in the middle of which sits a custom-made 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine. The engine was developed by RUF, and the construction owes something to Magna Steyr.

As it stands, W Motors claim a top speed the other side of 248mph and a 0-62mph time of only 2.7sec.

Interestingly, W Motors say the performance figures for the Fenyr are ‘from 900bhp and 885lb ft’. Note the ‘from’ which implies an even higher performance model may follow in due course. As it stands, W Motors claim a top speed the other side of 248mph and a 0-62mph time of only 2.7sec.

Production – if that’s the word for 25 a year – should start in January next year.
