Weekly auto agenda: Seoul Auto Salon and Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Seoul Auto Salon begins July 1, with around 150,000 spectators expected to attend the event which will show off new vehicles and automotive technology from South Korea and surrounding nations such as Japan. On July 2, the focus switches to the United Kingdom, where manufacturers and celebrities alike are expected to turn out in droves for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Expect new technologies on display from Korean automakers, plus a look at the cars of some of Korea's best-known celebrities, an "experience corner" for guests to get behind the wheel and other events such as a mechanics' competition, Racing Girl contests and car tuning contests.
Goodwood Festival of Speed

Billed by organizers as the "world's largest car event," the Goodwood Festival of Speed brings together cars of all types from all countries. From current Formula 1 racers and 200 mph supercars to steam-powered carriages of the 19th century, the event is part show, part race and a must-see event for car buffs.
Coke Zero 400
Daytona, Florida, USA
This Nascar event has been one of the motoring highlights of the Independence Day weekend since 1959. The 640-km race takes place at Daytona International Speedway and is broadcast nationally.
The Hohnstein Historic recalls the time and tradition of the prewar motorsports, a gentle tour through 780 km of countryside, taking in Saxony's vineyards and castles. The race, which dates from 1923, takes place over three days and includes parties and receptions on both nights.
The biennial Saab festival is the world's largest gathering of Saab fans and takes place in Trollhatten, the home of Saab. This year, after seeing their passion rise from the dead, Saab fans will be focusing on the future - the Saab 9-5 sedan - as well as taking part in the traditional factory tours, parades and competitions.
Indonesian International Motor Show

Indonesia's booming car industry turns its focus to eco-friendly motoring for this, the 18th iteration of the Indonesian International Motor Show. The show features a Drift Battle (oversteering around a track), several car competitions, a Miss Motorshow competition and a "BMX jam."
July 29 - 31
Neste Oil Rally Finland (formerly 1000 Lakes) is the biggest annually organized public event in the Nordic countries and draws crowds of over 500,000 people every year. The course is one of the fastest on the WRC circuit and the prize has almost always gone to a Scandanavian team in the past. This year marks the race's 60th anniversary.
