Rupert Bayfield, co-founder and former chairman of Computer People, has launched Best, a new IT recruitment firm. The Best management team includes Susan Cuff, group managing director, and co-directors John O'Sullivan and Jon Butterfield, formerly of Computer People.

Jack C Parsons Jnr has been named vice-president, finance and operations, and chief financial officer of Macromedia. He arrives from The Learning Company, an educational consumer

software company, where he was vice-president, finance and operations, and CFO.

Noel Lynch has been appointed channel sales director at Fujitsu ICL Computers Ltd. He joins Fujitsu from AST, where he was sales director.

Oracle has appointed Mark Lucas to the new post of kiosk general manager in the UK. He joins Oracle from the Kiosk Management Corp, where he was president.

Icom Solutions has appointed John Leighfield as a non-executive director.
