Collector: New York artist Barton Benes has made a ring from one of Larry Hagman's recently removed gallstones. His collection of celebrity objects also includes a throat lozenge spat out by Bill Clinton.

Why his hand? A 43-year-old clergyman in Kenya has had a hand cut off by angry villagers who caught him committing adultery. He was taken to hospital in a wheelbarrow.
