Never mind the April Fool jokes, the 1 April issue of The Independent Magazine was guilty of perpetuating two well-known urban myths. First, the Weasel regurgitated the "outrageous-conversation-overheard-over-baby-intercom" myth and then Nick Hornby, in an extract from a forthcoming novel, High Fidelity, followed up with a vinyl version of the Philanderer's Porsche urban legend. Oh dear, how lazy of your writers.
