Open for you - and for a wide range of learning experiences. That's the message behind a major BBC/OU trailer campaign planned for this month.

With both partners recognising the potential of broadcasting to reach new audiences, the campaign will run on BBC TV and radio before and after popular programmes. It aims to highlight the number of high-quality programmes the partnership produces, and persuade the audience that they don't need to be an OU student to get a great deal out of watching.

Paul Gerhardt, Head of Commissioning for the BBC/OU explained: "The purpose is to raise the profile and reach more audiences with the message that the OU is for them; and that it is open for a wide range of learning, not exclusively for its six- year part-time degree."
