With the help of an irresistible selection of flavoured vodkas and bewitching hospitality, Eva and Kaz Michalik have converted West Londoners to traditional Polish cuisine. "When we first opened twelve years ago, Polish food was almost unheard of and it was very difficult for people to eat beetroot," laughs Eva, "but now they love it." Alan Rickman, Ruby Wax and a host of BBC folk have all discovered the pleasure of Eva's company and excellent, home-made victuals. "You know when you've been Eva-d!" said one Patio regular, as a mixture of bison grass vodka, honey liqueur, red bortsch and blinis begin to take effect.
