Ice is the coldest thing on the planet and we're not just talking about temperature!

Carved out of 5,000 tons of ice, Sweden's Jukkasjarvi ice hotel is the

coolest place on earth - literally!

The Independent have teamed up with Metz - the coldest bite of refreshment there is -

to offer one lucky reader and a friend the opportunity to visit the Ice Hotel in Swedish Lapland.

The trip will take place from 13 - 16 February 1999, over Valentine's weekend, it will include return flights, one nights accommodation in the Ice Hotel, a reindeer safarai, husky pulled sled ride across frozen lakes plus other activities, also the couple will each receive a bodywarmer and a fleece.

Ten runners up will each receive a case of Metz, the long bitingly refreshing mix of pure Schnapps

with the subtle hint of citrus best served at 3 degrees, with the compliments of Martini.
