‘It’s horrible what has happened to them,’ says Succession star
Actor Brian Cox has said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “driven out" of the UK.
Speaking to ES Magazine, the Succession star criticised the tabloid press for scrutinising the couple and said that some of the coverage was “racist”.
”They [the media] have forced Meghan and Harry to quit the country,” Cox said.
“Let’s not beat about the bush, they have driven them out, and yes, I have no doubt at all, some of it is racist.
“It’s horrible what has happened to them.”

Show all 24The 73-year-old actor went on to praise the Queen as an “amazing woman”, adding: “I think what she has done is incredible”.
But Cox was less complimentary towards other members of the monarchy, saying: “When [the Queen] is gone, whole bl**** shooting match should go.
“We won’t end this feudal hold on our culture and system until then.”
Cox’s comments come shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step down from the royal family and pursue a life split between North America and the UK.
Speaking about the decision last month, Harry said: “There was no other option”.
“Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve,” he said at a private dinner for the Sentebale charity.
“For those reasons, it brings me great sadness that it has come to this. The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly.
“It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges and I know I haven’t always got it right, but as far as this goes there really was no other option.”
