Last autumn Prada did a grey, high V-neck sweater, which was one of the bestsellers of the season (it sold out almost immediately). It worked because it was simple, suited everybody and easily translated into the high street. This autumn, the story will be the same. Although the Eighties are coming back (I'm so sick of comebacks), and with them power suits and big shoulders, easy and elegant pared down silhouettes will still be worn by most. And the humble V-neck fits in beautifully. Don't be tempted to buy yours too big or two skinny. This season's Vs should sit on the hip and be a teensy bit too big - like you could do with a good sandwich. They are perfect to dress down the upcoming micro- mini, if you want to nod your head to the new length.
