With less than two months left until Christmas parents are left wondering what will be this year's must-have toys and games. Below is this week's roundup of the best-selling children's toys according to regional websites of the popular online retailer Amazon.

The best-selling* toys and games worldwide are:

Amazon.com - Robonica Roboni- I Programable Gaming Robot ($99/72.22€ reduced from $249/181.55€)

A memory game for two players, BrainBox involves one player studying a picture card before being quizzed on it by the other player. If the first player answers the questions correctly then that player keeps the card, the objective of the game being to win as many cards as possible.

Amazon.co.uk - BrainBox All Around the World Educational Card Game (£5.49/ 6.43€ reduced from £10.00/11.71€)

Winner of the Toy of the Year award 2010, the Zhu Zhu hamster is top of the best-sellers in France for the second week running. Described on the Zhu Zhu pets website as "the best alternatives to real live hamsters" the interactive toy "runs" around the room and produce different noises depending on the obstacles it encounters. These electronic alternatives to pets also emit sounds of contentment when they are cuddled.

Amazon.de - Lego Kingdoms 7952 - Adventskalender (16.99€ reduced from 19.99€)

Create a magical kingdom over the days before Christmas with this advent calendar from Lego. Behind each door is a surprise Lego present relating to the age of castles, dragons and princesses; as each door is opened another item can be collected and the kingdom slowly built.  

Amazon.co.jp - ??? ??????????    ? ???? ?????????? ?????????????? (5,801 Japanese Yen /51.52€, reduced from 7,140/63.42€)

Roughly translated as "Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Magician Girl," this highly in demand item is not due to be released until March 2011 but is currently available to pre-order on amazon.co.jp. The scale model is based on a character from a popular Japanese animation series and card game Yu-Gi-Ho.
