From 17-25 October, Junction Avenue Theatre Company will be presenting one of Africa 95's most prestigious events at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East. Marabi covers a formative epoch in South African history, telling the intense story of family life in the slums of Johannesburg during the Twenties and Thirties: the racial segregation, brutal working conditions, but also the culture of resistance which grew up in the face of these adversities.

One Independent reader will win a case of South African wine and a pair of tickets to the show, and a further 10 will win a pair of tickets each. Call 0171-482 5600, quoting this offer.
