LLOYDS BANK is dropping the charges which it levies on customers for making telephone calls or sending faxes between branches. A computer link-up enables customers to carry out a range of transactions at branches other than their own.

New facilities include transferring money on the same day between accounts, stopping cheques and obtaining details of recent transactions.
