Counselling in Leeds

A NEW type of credit counselling service was officially opened in Leeds this week. It invites approaches from local people. Counsellors will organise debt repayment schedules for creditors, collect monthly payments and pass money on to creditors. Lenders will be expected to pay a proportion of the money collected to the counselling service to fund its work. All the debtor's payments will be used to reduce borrowing. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is based at Wade House, Merrion Centre, Leeds LS2 8NG.
