M&S cuts credit card rates

MARKS & SPENCER is cutting interest charges on its credit cards and personal loans from next Tuesday. The rate on the Chargecard credit card comes down by 1.4 percentage points to 22.4 per cent APR for people who pay by direct debit. The rate for payment by other methods will be 25.3 per cent.

The rate on M&S personal loans is coming down from 18.7 to 17.7 per cent APR for card account customers. The rate for non-customers comes down from 20.7 to 18.2 per cent.
