Film fan? Fed up now that there's no more Orange Wednesday? Comparethemarket.com has seized the opportunity to launch "Meerkat Movies", giving its customers two-for-one cinema tickets every Tuesday or Wednesday at most movie chains.

The offer will last a year when you buy an insurance, energy, utilities or money product through the price- comparison website. Even switching a credit card can help you qualify for the deal.

Existing customers will be able to start using the offer next week, while new customers will have to wait until 3 April to sign up – to use the offer the following Tuesday

You'll need to download a Meerkat Movies app or go to your customer account online to take advantage of the offer.

New boots at a discount if you trade in your old pair

Got an old pair of boots? If you donate them to charity, you'll be able to get 20 per cent off the price of a new pair from Monday, through a new campaign being launched by Mountain Warehouse.

Its Re-Boot campaign – being held in conjunction with the United Shoe Recycling Company – will help to raise money for British Exploring, a UK-based youth development charity that aims to give youngsters experience of self-discovery in the wilderness.

To take part, you'll need to take your old boots to a participating store, where you'll then get the 20 per cent discount in the same store. The offer can't be claimed online.

Around 120 stores are involved in the venture and you can find a list of them at Mountainwarehouse.com.

An offer made to measure on Savile Row shirts
