The Law Commission is marking its 30th anniversary by launching its sixth programme of law reform. Projects to be undertaken by the end of 1998 include the effect of illegal transactions on people's rights, a systematic review of the law on limitation periods, a re-examination of third-party rights against insurers and an extension of the commission's study of consent in the criminal law.
