The Bargain Hunter: A catalogue of great deals
Saturday 29 May 2010
Latest in Spend & Save
Great catalogue stores think alike – or so it would seem, as for the second time this year, seven of the biggest online retailers have launched a sale in the same week. AdditionsDirect.co.uk, Very.co.uk, Littlewoods.com, EmpireStores.co.uk, Marshallward.co.uk and Kays.com all have up to 60 per cent off items online, while Daxon.co.uk’s sale is up 50 per cent off.
Caribbeano
Online travel store Sandals has halved the price of Caribbean holidays in 2010 and 2011 as part of its annual sale. Breaks of between seven and ten nights in Jamaica, St Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas can now be purchased as part of Sandal’s two-for-one offer – although all holidays remain subject to availability and must be booked before June 7. Visit http://ind.pn/acSOGZ for more information.
Shoe deal is in the bag
The recently launched VandalShoes.com has a great little offer on at the moment entitling all customers to a half-price handbag when they buy any pair of women’s shoes. Even better, the website features an extensive clearance sale section, purchases from which still activate the handbag discount. Visit http://ind.pn/aKcmcR for a full list of cut-price footwear.
3’s company, 4’s a Crowdity
Crowdity is a brand new website which specialises in securing group discounts for bargain hunters. The site seems pretty easy to use and encourages visitors to register for prospective offers at some of London’s top restaurants, retailers and hotels. The deals are then activated once a certain number of people sign up. Crowdity’s current discount aims to achieve an 83 per cent saving on cocktails at the Stanza bar in Soho.
Chocs away at Thornton’s
Thorntons has a nice little discount code offer on at the moment entitling online customers to a free box of luxury chocolate. If you’re planning to spend £10 or more at Thorntons.co.uk before Monday, I highly recommend adding the 400g Continental Letterbox selection (product code 3054) to your virtual shopping basket as, if you enter the discount code LBTC at the online checkout, the Letterbox price drops from £10.99 to £0.
