20 IFAs fined
A FURTHER 20 independent financial advisers (IFAs) have been fined a total of pounds 73,000, and two more reprimanded, in connection with pensions mis-selling, the Personal Investment Authority said yesterday.
The watchdog said the firms had failed to take all reasonable steps to meet the December 1997 deadline to complete 90 per cent of their most urgent cases in the personal pensions review.
