3i backs sports wear start-up

TWO former executives of Umbro have left to found their own sports wear company, KooGa Sports, with equity backing of pounds 200,000 from 3i, the venture capital group. Shak Anwar, managing director, and Jim Bisset, chairman, are launching a new brand of rugby clothing from their Manchester base.
