GERMAN shares improved from earlier losses in late Xetra trade, as Wall Street started positively. The Xetra DAX closed at 4,851.56, down 41.95. The DAX closed the session down 65.27 at 4,831.22.
"The market climbed back up in the last hour or so after it had been falling all day," said a trader from DG Bank. The market was "hanging on to Wall Street" and had started to improve once New York shares climbed after an uncertain start, he said. "The same applies to the rest of the week; it depends on Wall Street."
