INDONESIAN STOCKS extended their losses, led by profit-taking in big cap stocks amid persistent worries concerning a murky banking scandal and political uncertainty.

The composite index fell 13.45 points or 2.39 per cent to 548.61 points. Dealers said foreign investors were slowly unloading their positions and reducing their weightings in Indonesia as the country's risk steps up ahead of presidential elections in November.
