SHARES ended slightly lower amid a muted reaction to the Bank of England's decision to leave interest rates unchanged. The move had been widely predicted and the FTSE 100 only lost 13 points to close at 6,048.3. The smaller indices fared better, with the FTSE 250 ending 9.6 higher at 5,286.9 and the Small Cap rising 6.2 to 2,282.5.
