US STOCKS fell as the dollar's slide against the yen increased concerns that non-US investors will sell shares. Computer makers including Apple led the drop, and the Dow Jones had its worst performance in four months. The Dow lost 225.43, or 2.1 per cent, to 10,598.47.
"If the dollar is weak, the US equity market suffers as investors are reluctant to commit money to stocks," said one analyst. "And if the weakness continues, they will draw money out."
