US STOCKS rose yesterday with investors continuing to gobble up shares of Internet companies in an otherwise quiet trading session ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 13.13 points higher at 9314.28 after drifting for much of the day.

The S&P 500 index, a broader market gauge, closed up 3.88 point at 1186.87, and the Internet Index rose 2.42 to 317.74. Internet stocks, meanwhile, were among the most active shares.
