British brewers go on the march in protest at cross-Channel 'bootleggers'

'John Bull', alias Dennis Rutledge, and his bulldog Billy led the Independent Family Brewers of Britain in procession in Dover yesterday to highlight a threat they see to the future of the British pub, as people shop on the Continent for cheaper drinks. The brewers are campaigning for tax changes in the UK to deter the cross-Channel trade
