BULLOUGH, the engineering group, yesterday announced the pounds 16.9m sale of three of its refrigeration businesses to a group led by 3i Group and funded by Royal Bank of Scotland.

The proceeds of the disposal will chiefly be used to repay company debt, currently standing at pounds 13.2m. "This is an important further step in our drive to sharpen the focus of Bullough," said the company's chief executive, Gordon Bond.
