Bunhill: Aden Barclay's new house
MY SPIES in St James tell me that Aden Barclay, son of David and Frederick, has purchased the late Dolly Rothschild's house.
And it comes with a fine provenance: it was the house where, in 1989, Jimmy Goldsmith, Kerry Packer and Lord Rothschild (Dolly's son) planned the assault on BAT and became a sort of HQ when the battle was at fever pitch.
And there is more. It is two doors down from Rupert Murdoch's flat, and opposite the hotel where Mark Thatcher held his stag party.
At present, there is a fantastic amount of building work going on, and my man who knows about these things just prays that the mural inside remains intact. It is he says, 'quite fantastic.'
