Bunhill: Figures out
PRESUMABLY, Aberdeen Petroleum made a genuine mistake in its offer document for Brabant Resources. The document contains what is claimed to be a like-for-like comparison of the accounts of the two companies, based on their 1991 figures - except that the figures for Aberdeen are actually those for 1989. Coincidentally, in 1989, Aberdeen had about pounds 2m in the bank; in 1991, it had just pounds 400,000. Aberdeen is now correcting the error.
