PEOPLE come up with queer reasons for starting to smoke again.
Failed quitters, according to new research on the pounds 9.5bn UK tobacco market last week from MarketLine International, give stress as the most common reason for returning to the weed. Wanting to be sociable or just wanting to are reasons No 2 and No 3. But Rothmans, BAT and other baccy firms may be relieved to hear that 9 per cent of respondents cite 'ill health' as the reason for lighting up again.
