ON THE subject of people with money, Alan Sugar has plenty of it and, contrary to what Terry Venables might think at the moment, has been generous over the years with his charity. The latest accounts of the Alan Sugar Foundation show the Essex rottweiler gave away pounds 108,500 last year. The largest amount, pounds 50,000, went to Jewish Care. Next, with pounds 40,000, was the Ravenswood Foundation for people with learning difficulties. Not all the recipients were quite so politically neutral. Also benefiting from his benevolence was the lobby group, Conservative Friends of Israel. Amstrad itself does not make any political donations. Still, now we know . . .
