n About 4.6 million voting forms for the proposed sale of the AA to Centrica will be posted from tomorrow. They may take up to 10 days to reach you and must be returned by 8 September. If you have any questions call the members' helpline on 0800 9177200.

n The Royal Bank of Scotland has a range of guaranteed income accounts, paying up to 5.5 per cent gross interest. If you choose an account with a term longer than one year, you can close it after a year but will have to pay at least 30 days' interest. For details, 0800 121 121.

n The Portman BS is still offering its "no strings" mortgage, which has no penalties for early repayment and a refund of the valuation fee.
