Cashpoints: Ballots go out for vote on AA sale to Centrica

n About 4.6 million voting forms for the proposed sale of the AA to Centrica will be posted from tomorrow. They may take up to 10 days to reach you and must be returned by 8 September. If most members vote in favour, each eligible member of the AA will get about pounds 240. This is likely to be paid in October this year. n The Royal Bank of Scotland has a range of guaranteed income accounts, paying up to 5.5 per cent gross interest. The one-year account pays 5 per cent gross on pounds 2,500 upwards, and if you can leave the money untouched for three years the rate is stepped, rising to 6.5 per cent.
