Champagne merger
Gosset, the oldest family business in Champagne, has been taken over by Renaud-Cointreau, another long-established family business and owner of the Frapin brand of Cognac. Gosset was known to have financial problems because it had accumulated stocks of more than 3 million bottles of champagne, nearly seven years' sales.
