John Jacobs, the shipowner and broker, sunk to pounds 498,000 taxable loss (profit pounds 3.5m). EPS 2.3p (11.5p). Total dividend is 3.2p (0.5p).

Kode International, maker of printed circuit boards, advanced to pounds 1.1m ( pounds 1m) pre-tax profit. EPS 7p (8.6p). Total dividend is 6p (5.5p).

Manders, the paint and inks maker, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 10.3m ( pounds 7.1m). EPS 18.95p (11.56p). Total dividend 10p (9p).

MTL Instruments fell to pounds 4.3m ( pounds 4.8m) pre-tax profit. EPS 15.5p (16.8p). Total dividend 4.1p (3.6p).

Olives Property made pounds 576,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 3.1m). EPS 3.79p (LPS 33.04p). No dividend.

Relyon Group, the bedroom and kitchen furniture maker, climbed to pounds 3.15m pre-tax profit (loss pounds 1m). EPS 7.85p (LPS 3.49p). Total dividend 5.2p (4.9p).

Singapore Para Rubber Estates returned pounds 466,000 ( pounds 363,000) pre-tax profit. EPS 2.99p (2.41p). Total dividend is 1.9p (1.7p).

JW Spear & Sons, the games and toys maker, rose to pounds 4.5m ( pounds 3.7m) pre-tax profit. EPS 56.55p (47.3p). Total dividend 19p (14p).
