Irish rate cuts
IRELAND is cutting two key interest rates from tomorrow. The Bank of Ireland's short- term rate to commercial banks comes down from 8.75 per cent to 8.5 per cent, and its overnight deposit rate is also cut from 5.5 per cent to 5.25 per cent.
