IT linked to financial performance
THE FINANCIAL performance of some of the UK's top companies is directly linked to their approach to information technology, according to research published today.
The study, IT and Corporate Performance, by the consultancy Orb suggests that companies where IT and business strategy are most closely aligned have higher price/earnings ratios than those where they are not linked. Similarly, companies where IT is a top-three board priority on average have p/e ratios that are six points higher than the companies that do not pay much attention to IT.
