Nick Scheele, the new chairman of Jaguar. The luxury car maker yesterday announced that prices for 1993 models would rise by between 4.5 per cent and 7.4 per cent. All 1993 models will feature an airbag on the driver's side that inflates in microseconds during an accident to hold the driver away from steering wheel and windscreen. The company is also fitting a sophisticated alarm system to its XJ6 range. Jaguar prices range from pounds 26,800 to pounds 50,900.
