Kleinwort denies Gazprom rumours

Kleinwort Benson denied rumours that a big international share issue for the Russian gas giant Gazprom had been cancelled, but gave no assurance that the deal would be completed this year. Philip Lambert, a Kleinwort director, also described as "utter rubbish" reports that the bank had valued the 9 per cent stake in the company at $25bn.
