HAY & ROBERTSON, the ambitious leisure group, yesterday unveiled plans to introduce an array of casualwear and children's clothes emblazoned with the famous three lions England football team logo together with its Admiral brand, endorsed by soccer legend Sir Bobby Charlton.

The group has won a five-year contract with the Football Association to supply England leisurewear.

It plans to introduce new jackets, T-shirts and sweatshirts in major sports chains, department stores and mail order catalogues. Hay & Robertson also plans to sell a range of childrenswear including hats and jogging suits in high street shops such as Woolworths, Bhs and Mothercare.

The deal puts Admiral back on the map. The brand rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s as the supplier of the England kit but has since fallen from prominence.
