Surging demand for staff in mobile and digital businesses prompted Harvey Nash to upgrade its profits yesterday. The IT recruitment specialist said they would be 10 per cent higher than expected, mainly thanks to better revenues in the UK and Ireland, where demand for short-term contractors is soaring.
Meanwhile, fellow recruiter SThree said chief executive Russell Clements is leaving after 26 years. It forecast gross profit for the year would be up 8 per cent at £205.4m.
