Airbus yesterday admitted the launch of its A350 passenger jet will be delayed by another three months because of wing problems at the British factory making them.

The new aircraft was already a year behind schedule and the latest delay at the factory in Broughton, Wales, will see a charge of €124m (£97m).

The wide-body A350 is the European aviation group's rival to Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, which began deliveries last September. The A350 now won't be delivered to carriers until the second half of 2014.
