Airbus expected to hit 500 orders of its A320neo
Sunday 19 June 2011
The Paris Air Show, one of the highlights of the aerospace industry’s calendar, starts tomorrow.
Airbus is expected to announce a clutch of new orders for its narrow-bodied A320neo range. Just last week, the EADS-owned firm announced 102 neo sales to Go Airlines of India, and Cebu Pacific, a Philippines-based carrier. By the end of the show, Airbus is expected to have hit 500 orders – just seven months after it decided to build the neos; they come into service in 2015.
